You have the right to:

6. Third-Party Services and APIs

Nomrade integrates with various third-party services to provide our features. When you use these integrations, the respective platforms' privacy policies also apply.

6.1 Social Platform Content

When you save content from third-party social platforms, we store the URL and retrieve publicly available metadata (including images, captions, and creator information). Content is displayed according to each platform's terms. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of any platforms whose content you save.

6.2 Location and Business Data

We use third-party mapping and location services to search for restaurants, retrieve business information, and provide location suggestions. Your search queries and location data may be processed by these services in accordance with their respective privacy policies.

6.3 AI and Content Processing

Nomrade uses third-party AI services to power features such as the AI chef assistant, meal photo analysis, receipt scanning, recipe generation, food suggestions, and pixel art icon generation. These features are only active after you grant explicit consent within the app.

Data shared with OpenAI (GPT-4o):

Data shared with Replicate:

Important: Your data is not used to train AI models. It is processed solely to deliver the requested app feature and is not sold or shared with any other third parties. Both OpenAI and Replicate process data under our data processing agreements.

6.3.1 In-App Consent and Revocation

Before any data is sent to the AI providers listed above, Nomrade asks for your explicit permission through an in-app consent screen. You may revoke this consent at any time by going to Settings > AI & Data and toggling off "AI Data Sharing." When consent is revoked, all AI-powered features are disabled and no data is sent to third-party AI providers.

6.4 Packaged Food Nutrition Database

When you use the in-app barcode scanner to log a packaged product, Nomrade sends the scanned barcode number (UPC/EAN) to Open Food Facts, a free, collaborative, open-source food products database, to retrieve the product's name, brand, image, and nutrition facts.

Data shared with Open Food Facts:

No personal information, account identifier, image, or location is sent with the request. Open Food Facts is an independent non-profit and is not an AI provider; this feature does not require AI data sharing consent to function. Please review the Open Food Facts privacy policy for details on how they handle requests.

6.5 Subscription and Payment Processing

Premium subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store. We do not directly collect or store payment information. Subscription status is managed through a third-party subscription management service. Please refer to Apple's privacy policy for details on payment processing.

6.6 Infrastructure

Our backend infrastructure, database, and authentication services are hosted on third-party cloud platforms. Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption and access controls.

6.7 In-App Ads, Analytics, and User Metric Tracking

The free tier of Nomrade displays in-app advertisements and uses analytics and user metric tracking to understand how the app is used and to measure ad performance. This may involve sharing your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android), basic device information, and product usage events with third-party ad and analytics providers.

On iOS, Nomrade will ask for your permission via the Apple App Tracking Transparency prompt before your device's advertising identifier is shared with any third party. If you decline, ads will still be shown on the free tier but will be non-personalized. Premium subscribers do not see ads and are not subject to ad-related data sharing.

You can reset or limit your advertising identifier at any time via iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking or Android Settings > Privacy > Ads.

We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of any third-party services you interact with through our app.

7. Advertising, Cookies, and Tracking

Nomrade does not use website cookies in the mobile app. The free tier of the app displays in-app advertisements, and the app uses analytics and user metric tracking to deliver and measure those ads and to improve the product. These features may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android).

In accordance with Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, Nomrade will request your explicit permission on iOS before sharing your advertising identifier with any third party. You may grant or deny this permission, and you may change your choice at any time in iOS Settings > Nomrade > Allow Tracking.

If you decline tracking, Nomrade will still function normally and you will still see ads on the free tier, but those ads will be non-personalized. Premium subscribers do not see any advertisements.

We do not sell your personal data to data brokers.

13. Analytics and Performance

We use analytics and user metric tracking tools to understand how users interact with our app and to measure advertising performance. These tools collect information such as how often you use the app, which features you use, sign-up and subscription events, and crash reports. Some of this information is associated with your Nomrade user account so we can analyze user journeys, while aggregate reports are used to guide product decisions. See Section 6.6 for details.
